The runner's shoe on foot

Print Article

Introduction

Running is nowadays the most popular sport through our good Earth before and the reasons for this practice are many.
Everyone can run, woman, man, young, older and do anywhere and on any surface.
Simply take a pair of sports shoes, open the door and run.

Have you ever heard this phrase: - You take your shoes to race this weekend?
Yes, we take all our equipment running off for the weekend, for holidays and it is summed up in a small bag of 40 cm on 20 wherein lies the famous sesame.
Race shoes Pair of Foot

Yes voila, you have to buy and why each person has to go to the store, or large sign labeled Running (yes it exists) to choose its model.
The novice will get up in the morning, and with a firm step on a beautiful spring day, (for that is always in the spring or in September that we take the good resolutions) will open the shop door.
But disaster before the multitude of models, runner thought he would eventually choose the swimming baths for at least briefs are all the same.

So how to choose his running shoe?

This shoe is the only link between the land on which the foot will impact and body.
It is therefore necessary to find the Shoe Fits, and especially to keep a postural balance and not to try to correct body mechanics problems with your shoe. (We sell the brands)
A runner who makes a drive of 10 kms, will earn 20,000 vibrations, corresponding to a cumulative weight of 10 000 tonnes

What is on MSDSs: pronation, supination or Universal

The ideal rider stride does not exist.
But to understand, we can consider that the attack is done not on the posterior heel between the outer and central part of the heel.
The place of the stride continues from external axis inwards is to say to the association, the first metatarsal and big toe.
The impulse to making the big toe.

UNIVERSAL DEROULE

This place in the race must be in the most balanced way between the external attack and internal pulse.

Suppliers statistics REDISTRIBUTION 40% and 15% pronator supinator.
The rest is universal runners.
I think it's more complicated

A pronator

A is for pronator stride a person whose foot will turn in too abruptly inward, causing an overload to the big toe

A supinator

Unlike a supination is a person whose foot will stay in external rotation with sometimes exaggerated pressing the 5th toe.
The shoes have in their design, elements correcting its problems of mechanics.
That is to say, a shoe with a pronation control will possess reinforcing elements on the inner part, and conversely a supination control is done on the external side of the boot.
For example TS2 system on the NEW BALANCE is a composite of two layers which will promote the roll of the foot in the axis.
ASICS Shoes ensures its structure in dual density midsole materials stability and pronation control.

How do I know which category I fit?

First if you do not know, you better take a very stable universal shoe (indicated on the labels) because at least it will not hurt you.
Conversely control pronation which would not be useful could be catastrophic.
Secondly, trust the seller specialty shops because they often do you run on a treadmill, and can analyze your stride and advise models.
Finally, these same vendors with their professionalism guide their customers when they have doubts about podiatrists.
So a third time and if in doubt consult a colleague of mine.

What is the ideal weight of a running shoe?

There are three types of shoes:
Training
Competition
Trail

The training as the name suggests, is used for weekly use of 3 with 4 outputs, for a distance that varies between 40 and 60 kms.
In fact the rule is simple.
The weight of your shoe depends on your weight
A person who weighs between 65 and 75 kg should have a model located between 300 and 330 gr.
Above 75 kg and nearly 80 kg will require investment in a higher weight of your equipment to 350gr.
For lighter, opt for a shoe below 300GR.

For the competition, do not worry because all models have featherweight, but beware it is only one race shoes.

In contrast to the Trail footwear often lies above the 350 GR because they often have a rigidity to the unstable ground which increases the material.

How long does a shoe?

It is very difficult to accurately identify the wear of your shoe.
Although one can check the crampon, crushing the sole or perform the test spin.
Again the rule is simple, following the model lifespan is between 1,000 and 1,500 km maximum.
We must therefore count.
A rider who performs 3 times a week for 10 kms change his shoe after 10 months

Still some tips for choosing the right model

- Preferably try your shoes at night because the foot is swollen
- Take ┬Ż size to a size more especially if you plan to run marathons
- Do not hesitate to check if the model you want to have widths
- Check that the seams do not disturb you
- Not to take too rigid buttresses
- Test the lacing
- Never buy shoes without trying because even from one year to another the same model and the size may vary.

Knee arthroscopy: treatment of meniscus injury

By Dr. Nicolas LEFEVRE , Dr. Serge HERMAN , Dr. Yoann BOHU

Meniscus - Arthroscopic knee surgery is the gold standard of meniscal lesions of the knee. The goal is to treat meniscal tear (tear, crack, tongue, bucket handle ...) being the least traumatic possible for the knee and the most conservative to the meniscus.
